To help get the most out of your time with us at TickTax, we have a few little suggestions to help get the appointment running smoothly!
If this is the first time that you are seeing us, it will help us and save you time and followup phone calls if you bring with you:
- your Tax File Number (TFN)
- your bank account details (BSB, account name & number) so we can have the Tax Office deposit any tax refund directly into your account
- a copy of your previous year's tax return and tax agent fee (if not us)
- PAYG summaries
- any Centrelink (including Newstart, Austudy, etc.) or HECS/HELP statements
- a list of any work related expenses, eg workboots, union or professional association fees, tools, use of your own vehicle, self-education expenses including seminars and reference books
- any bank, credit union etc statements showing any interest received
- any dividend statements including from any Dividend Reinvestment Plans
- any statements from Managed Funds or other investments
- details of any shares bought or sold during the year
- income and expenses for any investment properties including settlement letters if you bought or sold an investment property during the year
- details of private health insurance (if any) preferably with a tax statement from your insurer
- medical expenses over $1500
- receipts for tax-deductible donations to charities
- details of any voluntary superannuation contributions
- names and birthdates for any new children ( you may be entitled to the government's baby bonus)
- any childcare benefit rebate receipts from registered childcare providers
- anything else that you think might be useful
- a smile.
Existing clients can download our Existing TickTax Clients 2008 Questionnaire. While it isn't necessary to complete this if you are coming in to see us, it will give you a good idea of what information we may require.
Otherwise simply bring:
- your PAYG summaries
- any bank, credit union etc statements showing any interest received
- any dividend statements including from any Dividend Reinvestment Plans
- details of any shares bought or sold during the year
- anything else that you think might be useful.
See you soon!
