Jon Bell
B.Com CPA

There is no tax issue too big or too small for Jon Bell to tackle. As the key point of contact for many of our clients, Jon has a knack for putting people at ease by getting to the bottom of their tax issues.

Before joining TickTax, Jon spent several years working as an accountant in the transport industry, and then with a large child-care firm. With family ties to the land, he also has a strong commitment to our clients in rural areas.

As well as tax tips, many of our clients seek other important advice from Jon - footy tips. Jon is a keen follower of sports, whether cheering from his armchair at home, or direct from the sidelines.

Jon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has recently completed his CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) qualifications.

Jelena Hahn
B.Bus NTAA

As a former Business Banking Manager for a large Australian bank, Jelena Hahn understands the tax and finance problems that can be encountered at all levels of business. And, more importantly, how to solve them.

Since commencing work as an accountant, Jelena has worked with clients across a variety of industries, particularly in the allied health and IT professions. She has helped to successfully guide their businesses through periods of rapid development and growth.

Many of our clients rely on Jelena's practical expertise in property development to guide them through property related business decisions and transactions.

When not solving tax issues and giving business advice, Jelena enjoys spending her free time with friends and her young family.

Jelena holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree and is a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association.

Licia Jenkins
B.Com ASA

You can't get much better than a former employee of the Australian Tax Office for true tax know-how! After completing her degree, Licia Jenkins gained valuable experience working with the ATO, before widening her accounting experience in the commercial environment with BHP and other organisations.

This was followed by a move to Brisbane, where Licia worked with specialist technology organisations implementing and maintaining accounting systems. She now applies this specialist tax and accounting expertise to TickTax clients.

Licia and her husband, David, have two school-aged boys. Her sons' school P&F Association, where she volunteers as Treasurer, also benefits from her accounting expertise. As well as her tax skills, Licia is also renowned for her Italian cooking.

Licia holds a Commerce (Accounting) Degree from the University of Wollongong.

Michelle McDowall
B.Com LLB CPA JP

Dealing with the more complex tax issues, Michelle McDowall knows all about tax having spent many years providing tax and business advice to thousands of individuals and businesses.

Backed by qualifications in Law as well as Accounting, Michelle has an in-depth knowledge of the tax office audit process, having gained significant knowledge working for the ATO as an auditor.

These days, as well as working with out bigger business clients, Michelle is our in-house  self-managed superannuation fund expert.  

When not busy at TickTax, Michelle enjoys a keen interest in the arts, including music, ballet and live theatre. When she finds the time to get away, she enjoys travelling with her family to different parts of Australia and overseas. Michelle and her husband, Robert, have owned several small businesses and are keen investors in the share and property markets.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Queensland.

Leigh Woodman B.Bus

Setting up and running your tax and accounting systems as a small business owner can be a frustrating and time-consuming process. But not when Leigh Woodman is involved. Leigh's main professional interest is small business accounting, and assisting small business owners to establish, understand and operate their accounting systems.

Leigh has worked in accounting for more than 20 years. Much of her experience was gained working as a cost accountant in the mining and energy industry.

What could Leigh love more than working at TickTax? Spending time with family and friends, arts and crafts, musicals and travelling (free European travel tips for all interested clients).  

Leigh holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Southern Queensland.
